Fu*%face Von Clownstick

Well, I like kangaroo courts as much as the next guy, so ok. I guess we'll see how that nailbiter turns out.

I'm really starting to feel like this forum thread won't reach its full potential unless Trump is re-elected.

Do you think what he was saying in this phone call constitutes attempting to change the vote illegally?

Nope. It's a good reminder of how close the election actually was, though. Biden won by about 120,000 votes across four states - specifically four cities (Atlanta GA being one of them) with questionable changes in election practices going on due to covid. I think the margin in GA was 10-12k votes. I see no issues in questioning the results and no issues with the call's contents. Democrats would have made the same call under similar circumstances, but you would have never heard about it.

I'm looking forward to the partisan prosecution by the GA DA. More garbage for the pile. It's not affecting his support which is the point of these cases - they are trying to whittle away his support before the election. It's not working - in fact it seems to be increasing his support among independents who will decide the next election. It won't be decided by partisans on the left and right - those folks will vote for whomever they are told to vote for.

”I just want to find, uh, 11780 votes”

suggesting/threatening to the Georgia Secretary of State that he had committed crimes by not overturning the states election results.

Trumps illegal fake elector scheme in Georgia.

Luckily we have the recordings and folks like Meadows and Rudy now squealing like pigs.

Thanks for the reply, I understand better now.

You just deny reality, as long as there’s enough of you doing it, it makes a sort of truth.

Not that I care, but what reality did I deny? There are so many liars involved with this stuff there will never be any sort of truth if that's what you are looking for. It's all just politics.

Genuine question for the Trump supporters in this issue.

I am trying to work out how you see this as ok.
TIA.
Mick, in short, I don’t see this as “ok”. But it’s important to remember that “not ok” is a far cry from illegal, and even farther from provable beyond a reasonable doubt.

I said this earlier in this thread, but “find me the votes” isn’t necessarily probative. Example: if I ask my wife to help “find my car keys”, I’d fully expect her to find keys that already exist, not manufacture or conjure some keys out of thin air just because I desperately need my keys.

I'd like to see a tally of the 'irregular' votes that have been found since the election. Total. The whole country. Time for a grand reconciliation on the claim of 'lost' votes by the Big Lie.

PS I did some reading.

475

Total number of votes found.

Question, especially for parents believing The Big Lie. How do you reconcile this with your kids? The Big Lie isn't Santa and snipe hunting. What do you tell kids about lying and believing liars?

PPS

I'm reminded of Senator Al Franken's book

Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them

Well then find me the tooth fairy! That witch owes me money!

Do you know your mom’s address? (Cuz she’s the Tooth Fairy)

Edit: That was silly. I apologize. Carry on.

Excellent. You’re good at this, now lets find bigfoot

Silliness appreciated, but my rhetorical request stands. If I truly believe that bigfoot is real, and ask someone in earnest to find that thing once and for all, it doesn’t change anything. I struggle to believe that donny really only thought that he won by that slim of a margin. If he really believes the shit that he said, then he must believe that he won by a bigger number than that. What he was asking for was enough votes to overturn the results. Coincidence? I have my doubts. He didn’t ask for “the uncounted votes”, or anything like that, he asked for a specific number. Did he divine that like some kind of sage or visionary? Or was he requesting that someone- anyone- produce the results that he wanted? We will have to see the rest of the evidence and see if it meets the standards required for a conviction. He has gotten away with shit due to technicalities before, so I’m still concerned, but if he does escape justice, I won’t cry foul. If he can win the game, then he can walk, but if he is caught with his hand in the cookie jar, then I don’t wanna hear a bunch of whining when he goes to time out.

We all know, and most of us agree, that he was hardballing Raffensberger. He’s a NY realtor, whadaya gonna do? The question is whether or not it was illegal. I’ll admit I have yet to read the indictment (there are so many of them!), but each charge will have very specific elements that must be proven for conviction. At this point it seems we are encouraging the imprisonment of people who say things we disagree with. I predict the First Amendment will trump some of these charges, no pun intended.

Only as much as the first amendment allows one to shout fire in a crowded venue. Context matters.
