Fu*%face Von Clownstick

Known liar and unserious person? As in Trump as an example? It is a cult thing for sure. Just try really hard not to listen to him when he tells you to drink the poison.

Known liar? As in Trump as an example? But he is credible in your mind for some weird reason. It is a cult thing for sure. Just don't listen to him when he tells you to drink the poison.
I hear the Hale Bobb comet is making another go round soon, so maybe all these Trumpist cult members can partake in some special kool-aid, climb on board, and go find a burnt orange planet where wrong is right, dark is light, up is down, and Trump is the truth!

Have a nice evening - clocking out...my work is done here for the while :) Cheers!

Yes, yes, drink the Kool-Aid and get a 1/2 price Trump NFT card. Just pay for the card before heading over to the Kool-Aid stand.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news Shadow, but there is no cure for what ails @Arb23. He's lost bro. A terminal case if there ever was one. We would sooner have a fact based discussion with a banana slug that with that cult member. Here's to hoping we don't see him at the insurrection 2.0.

Yep. I asked for facts and specifics and got beat down with falsehoods and inane memes. Ouch...
Ironically, the Trump camp believe that the facts that have been presented against him are just as false; the memes presented to them, just as inane. The problem is that there’s no way to get anyone to see a truth they are willfully ignoring. The Republicans may be worse about this, but the Democratic party is so full of shit too, that the Republicans aren’t wrong in just calling the bulk of what they say as bullshit too, though the Dems at least like to say more cooperative things.

The most difficult part of having a democracy is that everyone has a say, including the insane and delusional, and a lot of average people don’t have the time or energy, or worst of all the willpower, to analyze things critically and find the truth. Worse yet, those that are trying to act on those highest truths don’t get any attention because they don’t have the money to make the noise that the R’s and D’s do.

I’m pretty sure that this boat is too big for anyone to steer it properly anymore, and we won’t be able to make an adequate course correction. We’re gonna run this general heading until we hit something big enough to fuck it up.

I have posted links before to the 1972 study by MIT that clearly indicates that we were and still are on track for a global, full scale collapse by 2040. I suggest anyone who doubts that to read it.

Meantime, I’m gonna keep developing my personal infrastructure with that in mind. I’m not writing off the possibility that some miraculous events may come to pass, but I am not counting on it. @Muggs posted a video during the lockdowns in 2020, talking about how he lives that I think is worth a second look if you missed it.

Lol...I definitely have a case of nottademocratitis (although I am open to certain non crazy platform positions). Fortunately, my doctor said I'll live a long and healthy life, as long as I don't starve under communism.

I do recognize that questioning things while not being a member of the democrat party/cult thing is dangerous, as evidenced by 45's travails, I'm still hopeful we are actually different than Russia or China.

We won't make this thread great again with personal attacks, and I don't participate in un-armed insurrections of any kind, ever (very low success rate). I'm a "mostly peaceful" protestor who doesn't like kool-aid. My pitchfork is rusty, in any case.

I can pretty much agree with everything said here, except that I think ultimately everything will be fine and life will go on. No harm in planning, though. Last paragraph is spot on. Hat tip to you, fine sir.

My biggest fear is the government printing presses went off the rails during those spending bills Congress was passing in 2020-2022 and we will have 20%+ interest rates and an economic implosion that won't be easy no matter whose runnng the boat next time. That's a scenario where big unrest could occur if folks lose their jobs in a widespread fashion. Coupled with what I think is a terrible foreign policy in this admin, things could get interesting. Just my opinion. Hope it doesn't come to pass.

Seems like societal and environmental collapse has been a slow motion train wreck happening for the last couple of decades at least. Political parties don't seem to have much if any influence or control over the greater forces driving the shit winds.
It has been happening for a long time for sure, and it’s the monied folks that have the power. They feed both sides because chaos, it turns out, is the most profitable state of being for them.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from spending time on US tree forums, it’s that some kind of societal breakdown is what most of you are secretly hoping for.
A yearning for the Wild West perhaps?

Is that last sentence a Trailer Park Boys reference? I hope so.

It’s fine here, since the revolution a lot of French see a bit of civil disorder a bit like National Service.
One of my favorite youtubers is Carl Rogers - kid's restoring an old (300+ year old) farm property in France somewhere...think he's from London or something. Lots of great scenery and wood working.
