Minnesota set a state, maybe National record, for turn-out. Seventy nine percent and it might rise. Since seventy two Minnesota has voted a Dem for Pres.
Pollsters attempt to disperse where the non-voting votes would align. I think it's easier to just divide up the non-voters in half. Voting is a requirement of being involved in the politics of the USA. There are always other offices as well as referendums that must be voted on the ballot. Choosing not to vote for Pres or whichever is choice but still gets you in the political discussion.

I was a Bernie fan myself and hoped for some serious health care reform, but on reflection I have to think that Biden is the right man to have defeated Trump. This election hinged most heavily on swing voters, people are are borderline democrats or republicans and easily tipped the other way. And so many Americans of both parties are still terrified of the very word 'socialism' without even knowing what it really means, people who happily cashed their stimulus checks without a second thought. Also, Joe Biden, as far as years in high political office, is probably the single most experienced person we have ever had in the White House, with almost five decades at high level and a very good record, especially with foreign relations and issues concerning our international prestige and commerce. In contrast to Trump, he will listen to advice from people like Bernie and others, scientists, etc. and make the right moves on health care, the virus, and climate change, and other serious problems we face. We need to get behind him now and help the natiion heal. Between the virus resurging and a vindictive, insane lame duck president still in office, we have a hard winter ahead.
This is very important.. His crimes are so blatant and numerous that he must be held accountable. America need to actually see and believe that NO ONE is above the law. Donny will soon be a normal citizen without all the bullshit protections that come along with being the Prez. New York already has the goods on Donny so I would imagine that they will be all over him like stink on shit. Like white on Rice.

He lost the unions, sensible republicans, blue color people that fell for his never ending bullshit list of "On Day 1" promises.
One would think he would do much worse than 2016.

That old bag lost her sole with her vote for Kavanaugh.

We need to get behind him but the Republican Congress, Fox News, Rush, and other far right wingnuts never will.
Unlike Obama, if we end up with the senate, Biden needs to steam roll these assholes.
Obama wasted too much of his mandate and political capital reaching out to the other side and they just saw him as weak and stone walled him.
The only way the right is going to get on the Biden train is for Biden to run them over and when the country turns around from the nightmare we're in they will want to come along for the ride and get their names on some bills.

Singular issues:. Abortion, christianity (putting god back in to everything), touted lower government regulation, touted lower taxes, and don't forget how racist much of this country is. People have never heard a president talk the way he has...with defiant authority to call out "bad deals" and the like. He used aggressive language to appear powerful and people eat that shit up.
Trump is the absolute epitome of the phrase "fake it till you make it". He took it too far though and made it to a point where the eyes of the world saw through the smoke and mirrors. The best thing for him would have been to lose in 2016. Then he could have continued to get away with all his antics with still being talked about on a global stage.

Great observations Phil..I would add that Trump is one of those unique type of criminals that is stupid enough to constantly draw attention to himself. His ego and his insatiable need for attention/approval will be his demise and hopefully land his ass in a 8x10 for a decade or so...I have known some serious criminals in my life and the good ones keep quiet and fly under the radar while idiots like Trump always end up being their own worst enemy.

Trump loves everything to be the biggest and greatest about himself. He will go down in history as the biggest mistake and greatest f*ckup every to occupy the Presidency. History is written down by intelligent educated people, not typical Trump supporters. He has much to answer for. If almost a quarter of a million Americans had just died in a terrorist attack or an avoidable industrial accident, the whole nation would be screaming for answers and revenge.
