DON'T EVEN TRY IT!

That's not what I have been doing at all. Now I am questioning your comprehensive reading ability.

There is nothing wrong with you feeling a responsibility towards educating people about the inherent problems you see with Murphy's video, but saying that he should "do the right thing and take it down," to me, is just ridiculous.

Hopefully you will come to the realization that Murphy is dangerous. The stuff he post that is not dangerous is stuff tree companies have been doing for 30 years or more and presented as 'innovative'.

A laughingstock.

You state that as a fact, do you have extra insight? I wonder how much property damage or personal injury this dude has caused in his long and lucrative career?

The problem is not someone that posts controversial videos. The problem is someone attempting something that they either don't fully understand, or don't feel fully comfortable trying just because they saw it in a video.

So what you are saying is that you expect the Youtube viewer that does not have the knowledge base/skillset needed to understand what they are witnessing, to somehow suddenly have the knowledge/understanding to realize that what they are witnessing is a dangerous technique. The whole premise of your argument is a fucking circular firing squad.....

So yea, you have in fact spent the last few pages asking the uneducated to be responsible for knowing what they don't know. And yea, its still pretty stupid...

If that were enough you are also saying that the person who posted the dangerous technique on Youtube bears absolutely now responsibility to the greater arb community.....

Praise the lard and pass the fucking buck!

Fuck, I just can't seem to find that video I posted of me advocating for others to do something as stupid as work without a helmet? When you find it please post the link ppsavage.....Much appreciated bro..

I seem to remember you making damn near the same argument as Brady when you got called out for no helmet. What a great example you're setting, no helmet and a hypocrite too!

So I will take that as a NO to you finding a video of me advocating for others to not wear PPE?

I will take that as a NO to you finding any statement here or elsewhere were I tell others to follow my PPE path?

Where are having a conversation about someone who is advocating for others to use dangerous methods are we not? Things like making a video's about the virtues of the "intentional barberchair", and using a "slice cut" while aloft.....

Kindly show me where I have ever done such a thing and I will own that shit...

So he post a video on the subject and has this to say about the method he is selling-
"So this cut could save a life."

Sure sounds like a ringing endorsement to me ppsavage, but what the fuck do I know?

Speaking of someone intentionally trying to sell their viewers some extremely dangerous methods-

"Don't even try it" as a title seems to be more like click bait than a disclaimer and the ensuing dialect from the OP intended more for attention than for purposeful dialect.
Seems to be the OP's m.o.

Don't even try it, that's advocating?
Its not directly advocating. Its sarcastic. Sit thru several of his videos, and you will notice, they are not exactly instructional and not exactly entertainment. The commentary is very misleading in video and in writing. In a general sense, trial and error should not be a part of the normal work day. Experiments are meant to be replicated, but results may vary!
Who would you rather work with, Daniel or Rico?

I don't know I think based on location alone I'd have to pick rico I mean buck's county pa aint really my cup of tea but rico does seem a little irritable sometimes... maybe if switched the coffee for green tea it'd be a good time.

I get that daniel is maybe sarcastic in this title but seems more like click bait and definite trolling. gets a lot of bites too. it's weird school yard behavior from both sides. the guy has been doing this for years I've been reading these forums since before it was ezphloem v daniel which was way more funny but this is just petty I mean no one is saving the world from daniel. This kind of reaction only encourages him to come back with even whackier shit for more abuse, it's endless.

Anyone who watches a video of some bloke on youtube doing intentional barberchair or wrecking huge trees with no ppe and try to blindly replicate it irl without considering the consequences kinda deserves what they have coming right? I liked watching mad mike blast off in his steam rockets but I sure as hell wasn't going to try to replicate the experience because obviously he was off his meds and bound to crash and burn.

When I see one of Daniel's videos come up I now report them and give them a thumbs down. Then I do this to two more of his videos. I will do this as long as he continues to post videos.

Very dangerous acts are being promoted by Daniel Murphy. He has been discredited on arborist forums around the world. The cut shown is not professional. The advice given is worse.

is there any proof that his advice or videos have led to an accident in real life?

from the video description on the youtube vid you linked- "This video is more of a warning about the dangers of barber chair than a recommendation for its use. Illustrated examples of a bypass Dutchman in the face cut causing barber chair are shown. Please don't try this at home. "

here's some comments from yt on the same vid-

"chaps1 year ago
I think this was a great idea i mean tree work is so freaking dangerous that people that have never seen a barber chair can see how quik u can get killed even when u know what youre doing"

"Hastelloy X

I've always heard, Make sure the notch is clean. Clean the notch, etc. But I never heard or saw an explanation of how that could lead to a barber chair failure in a tree. Thanks, that's a great explanation."

"Paul Meyers10 months ago
I've been using chain saws for 40 years. If I learned one thing from this video, it's that I've been lucky."

I think you are on the right track with your last 2 posts. Its all double talk. Its hard to put your finger on it. Daniel makes videos that are structured like an instructional video but calls them entertainment. I think it comes down to whats the intent of the video. Watch most tree videos and the intent is clear, most are entertainment where people are showing what they have done. Bad technique lack of PPE will draw criticism and most reasonable people will except the criticism. The question I pose here is what is the intent of this video? I agree it isnt instructional or entertainment.
