Compact Bulldog Bone

I I've had that happen in a length of Cougar before after barely picking one strand. I just made sure it was always on the standing end of my rope in a basal tie, canopy tie, or in DDrt. Cougar is so tightly woven that it's hard to milk those deformities out.

I'll look it over some more. I didnt see any picks but it looks like some of the strands are just pulled abnormally tight, not squished tho

If its just from normal use I'd let wherever you got it from know and see what they say about it. I know treestuff.com would be very helpful in this situation.

Yes although it was on their NRG line. I ended up trashing it and Luke did honor it. When I spoke to Donaghy they denied they had a problem and blew me off. It was the last product I ever bought from them.

Ouch. I can understand the bad taste in your mouth ML. Good thing there are good retailers to stand between manufacturers and end line users most of the time.

Got my bulldog bone. Run kmIII. It's nice. Good work Surveyor. Had two other guys try it. They had nothing negative to say.

I've read a few threads about donaghys and cougar ropes having inconsistencies in the braids of their ropes but I thought that was all resolved, maybe not tho.

That makes sense actually. If you've ever spliced (and yes, I know you have Worthaug :)), when you're pulling strands to taper the cover you'll get that same effect sometimes.

Quick question, I don't feel it is a problem but every rope I try on the BDB flattens.

Does anyone else have this happen. I can't see anything other than flattening happening due to the botton link and the way it squeezes the rope.

Just interested in others feedback. Cheers
