Compact Bulldog Bone

I just clip my haas to the v formed by the webbing. Works really well for me

That looks great. By the way, you got busy on that thing
Thanks...it took me about 3 hours to make and another 2 to think how...Once the measurements were OK, then it took its time by sewing by hand. I've seen the photo you'd sent with the biner of the Haas set on the V and i like it, but just to complicate things more, I think I'm going to come up with something attached underneath independent from everything...who knows...I didn't want to put an eyelet in the middle...too much to do but the biner sets nice and snug...

If the shoulder strap was one piece and just folded, you could create another loop there at 90° to the one the biner is in...
I thought about that...but I needed to be so precise to understand the right length of the strap and as I know myself too well I would've ended up making some mistakes. Instead I cut them in two and sewed them much more easily from the front. Anyway I'm going to add another D shaped ring just under the V for the Haas and see how it goes...

Nice

Second go round on the twelve strand from treestuff white with red fleck. Footie Fuzzes it up good , but I'm impressed with the way it performs ,especially for the price. Good firm feel stays nice and round, but almost reminds me of static like feeling Yale 11.7. For a 1/2 inch rated line it doesn't seem that thick more like 12mm or so when weighted ,I should get a micrometer on it , doesn't piggy tail at allll. Awesome flexibility really likng the way it can flip it ,forward it so on so on . Using with 5/8 bollard . Great combo for me. Enjoying climbing on it. No rocky roads here more like smooth sailing.

Alright, I got to try out my new CT foot ascender today on a BDB climb. I can see swingdude's point now about the Pantin. The CT required a lot more hands-on action than the Pantin. I do like the Pantin more in that regard. But I do like the lack of kick out with the CT. Maybe I need to tweak the SAKA bungee length and/or clip-in point and see if that makes the Pantin more reasonable. If that works then I may just attach the CT to my SAKA instead of the Croll that's on there now.

I have a Pantin but the thing that I have to be careful not to get the kick out going too often, made me buying a CT foot ascender also. To avoid the opening or closing the cam by hand I applied a peace of tubing snugged onto the small metal cylinder protuberance making it reachable with the other foot to open the cam. Depending on the shape of your boots you can manage to do that even without this little mod.

So i have attempted to use the bulldog bone a couple of times now with the largest bollard, and it seems to not work at all, i put my body weight on the device but it cant hold me up, i just slide down the rope. is it posibble to get an even larger bollard? Ive tried on, Platinum, Blaze and Kernmaster, almost works on platinum

Welcome Brandon, I'm sure Gordon will chime in when he sees your post. Until then can you post a pic of your BDB with the rope in it. They pretty much can be made to work with most ropes.

Brandon...platinum 10.5 or 11.5? The BDB works OK for me (~180 lb with gear) on the 11.5 with the 3/4" bollard but the 10.5 would be too thin of a rope.
