Mr. Marice,

He sent an email to me, so I don't know why he wrote that. He must be a crazy person. I sent him the flyer.

Warmly,

Oh Hell YA!

I worked for a Toms Tree Service in Elgin but was too much of a girly man for the cold. I plan on visiting him and some of my ex wifes family in elgin. I gotta get to Elgonquin for those ribs at the Texan on the river....I may not come home. I better bring saws and rigging gear in case I decide to run away from home permanently. I wonder how long I could work out of the compact car I am renting....as a contract climber....
WAKE up Jesse! WAKE UP MAN!

see you soon!

That place is still there. Those ribs are great. I've eaten there several times.

Re: Charlotte Arborists Association\'s 16th Annual TCC!

Sorry about this avatar.

I have been trying to change it for days now. I have been trying in four hour shifts, with only 20 minute breaks for going to the bathroom and eating.

Then it's back to the computer, trying to compute a way to change this avatar. It's hard computing. Everyone knows it's hard to compute.

Sorry about the avatar,

Re: Charlotte Arborists Association\'s 16th Annual TCC!

Officially less than one month away.

We have room for 40 competitors this year, but space is filling up fast with both the competition and the hotel reservations.

Re: Charlotte Arborists Association\'s 16th Annual

Totally aggravated about the lack of chatter on this thread.

I have a special announcement to make, but I don't know if anyone wants to know about it.

And Jesse, I had no idea what you were talking about with the "Zonies" thing, until I had a cup of coffee, watched some birds eating from the birdfeeder, went to the bathroom and worked on a crossword puzzle, thoroughly washed my hands (but not the newspaper), made myself a bowl of cereal and then smacked my forehead when I realized you meant "ARIZONIANS" or "Zonies".

HA ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

NO.

We have tons of room here in Charlotte. The whole lot of you Zonies couldn't begin to fill the myriad of fine hotels, decent hotels, and flea-ridden weekly suites in this town.

We have no Eucs.

We are strong with Oaks here.

Well, if you are talking about people, we have both Eucs and Oaks.

How do I sign up?

I sent an e-mail to an un-named officer of the CAA and he/she never returned it... Is there a website that can be used to sign up?

Re: Charlotte Arborists Association\'s 16th Annual

I can't attach the flyer because it is too big and I am too lazy to try to figure it out, plus busy at work.

But here is the deal:

Competitor fee - $75

Mail check to Charlotte Arborists Association
PO Box 29755 Charlotte, NC 28229

First come, first served. We have room for 40.

The Doubltree Hotel at Gateway Center in Uptown Charlotte -

http://doubletree1.hilton.com:80/en_US/d...rolina/index.do

Call the local number (704) 347-0070 to make room reservations. Say you are with the Charlotte Arborists Association's TCC and the rate we have reserved is $89 a night (great deal at this place!) This is where the meetings are on Saturday morning, so we encourage people to be in Charlotte by Friday night.

The schedule (loosely) for Saturday :

6 am Judges Meeting at Doubletree Hotel
7 am Contestants meeting at Doubletree Hotel
9 am - 3 pm preliminary events
3-5 pm rigging challenge for judges and techs

Sunday

9 am Head to Head Footlock Challenge
11 am - 4 pm Mens and Womens Master Challenge
5 pm awards ceremony at Freedom Park

for the flyer, email John Maurice at jamaurice@mac.com

Re: Charlotte Arborists Association\'s 16th Annual

How's things coming? Sounds pretty good so far. The WWC Tree Crew gang is looking forward, and some new faces will be competing! Hey... is there anywhere that's kosher to camp? There may be quite a few of us, and the school isn't sponsoring us this time.

Hi Andrew,

How many are coming from WWC? Times-a-wastin' for signin' up, so try to get your money in by the end of this week!

I'll ask around about the camping, but I do know those rooms at the doubletree can handle 4 people in a pinch.

Surely some benevolent tree force out there can sponsor the kids from Warren Wilson College in the form of a two night stay? Andrew, you strike me as just the man to go out there and pitch this to local businesses. Try to raise enough for beer money at the bar. I get thirsty after these TCCs.
