Anyone train?

Jimmy (or Paul?)

Don't let them fool around with you. They're funny guys.Heck I might even use their lines myself sometime (thanks fellas).

What you're talking about takes a great deal of determination. It wil hurt tomorrow, but feel great next month this time. Try it steady for a serious month and then get back to us. I swear by it. Strength training will only help all aspects of your life (except the beer gut ;o))

ectomorph vs endomorph

Sorry if I'm being too "know-it-all" here, but I think that Arnold would fit into the mesomorph catagory. Endo is more of what Dave is referring to. /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Keep it up and I'm sure you won't regret it! Let's see what you're made of. /forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Thanks Mark. It makes me feel good to have good comments from a COMPETITIVE climber... :) All these other yayhoos, they can go suck rocks... ;)

kidding of course. I look forward to some pain and soreness, in the long run its better for me if I do exercise than if I don't. Tomorrow is arms day. Friday is back and other other upper body.

Just for the record, I wasn't really that sore today, either I didn't work hard enough or I am actually not in that bad of a shape as I thought I was.

I will let you know after tomorrows energeticness.

We are all just having fun. I do wieght train a bit and it really helps with all of the little annoying pains. I just feel better.

Thanks Mark for the kind words.
Brian did invite me for dinner at his house and we had an excellent meal, prepared by his wife, with great fellowship before and after eating. Brian and Heather are awesome people to hang with. I had a wonderful time. I will be joining them again for another excellent meal.
Thanks for the opportunity to network with other arborists. This site is truly awesome.

Norm-

Thanks I will send you that $100.00 for making me look good. It was great having you over. Any of you guys ever in my area drop a line and come on by the house. I think Norm was just being nice to me, but he is right Heather is a great cook.

Brian

Hey Brian,

With that new house payment , is it going to be Top Ramen or canned tuna for dinner when I swing by there ?....lol.... Good to see you and Heather at the CAA dinner a while back . Need to have more gatherings so we can chit chat.

Greg

Greg-

The house payment isn't that much more than I was paying in rent, but the property taxes around here are a killer. No Top Ramen for us, Heather still drives an 89 prelude so she can feed me like a king, WHAT A LADY! Come by soon, Norm will attest to my ability to talk & talk & talk about trees.

Back to the thread on training. Does anybody have regular massage work done? I was pulling off a job one day because my right arm had so much pain I couldn't hold it up(had been bugging me for about a week). I told the client and she won't let me leave until she can work on me. She whips out a massage table in the backyard and works my back for about an hour (no charge). The next day I feel like a million bucks. Now I try to use her about once a month, has done more good for me than working out, but I am still thinking yoga.

Brian

Brian,
My wife has 1 to 1 1/2 hour full body massages done every month and pays $70 per hour. She swears by em. She comes home sooo relaxed. She keeps on tellin me how goood she feels the rest of the day. If you can get em for free, go for it.
I'll call ya soon. I.m gonna be back in the Bay area the week of Feb. 14th.

Jimmy-

Medical expense. She is licensed, gotta love it!

Norm-

Unfortunately they are not free anymore, but since Heather & I have massages at the same time she doesn't charge extra to come to the house. Glad to have you over again when you are back in town. Perfect timing too, I have the ASCA Academy the next week.

By the way saw one of your guys on tv teaching how to plant a tree, nice PR.

John-

Thank you, Thank you very much!

Butch.

You all are much more disciplined than I am. Besides, I can't find the time these days to do extra cross training.

Oh well, if I raised my rates, worked less hours, then I'd be able to train.
