You can access trees ddrt using a foot ascender and HAAS or SAKA, and make the climb with your legs, just takes twice as many steps, imo though, so far, limb walking is easier to come back in ddrt, i hate prusik hitches, love mechanical hitches but dont care for the uni much but as of yet is...
Its not that it dosent function for double rope.. the idea of the attachment point was to clean it up for double so your not fumbling with a second end of the line running all the way past it to your bridge.

Dont take it as disrespect, i just wasnt sure of the manufacturing stage and if any tooling had been made up..because with the addition of a caribiner attachment point for dbrt i could see sales being even higher...everything that works good for srt really isnt designed with possible dbrt in...
Would be very intrested to see it with a main spine with a slightly offset attachment point for a caribiner at the top for a cleaner DbRT, keeping the second tie in point out of the way of operations.
