    Climate Change

Whats new is that the climate is changing in one person's lifetime. I have personally witnessed mass extinctions on a level not seen since the dinosaurs. Its all pretty exciting really. I dont agree with that it's all caused by carbon either, I think black top and parking lots, soot, salt...

50 degrees in detroit, no ice fishing on the horizon. Third year in a row of a missing winter. This is going to kill a lot of trees.

    What the bananas

Neither the rope runner or TAZ are affected by rope weight. They both work great on a completely taught line.

Gas blowers banned in Ann Arbor Mi

Part of the problem is they are constantly used backwards. People blow leaves from the soft surfaces to the hard surfaces. They should only be used to clear hardscapes and keep organic material out of storm runoff. The ann arbor ordinance makes an exception for this important use of them...

    ISC Ultra-link failure during use

It was dependent on only one locking mechanism. If anything happened to that one lock it would catastrophically fail. I dont understand how it ever made it to the shelves as a life support product.

    barefoot shoes for climbing?

I have the vivo barefoot. They were popular at the itcc with the majority of the Masters challenger climbers wearing them. I love them. Make sure you get the stitched on soles vs the glued on.

    Rope runner MRS

I did find in that configuration there is a bit more drag than clipping into the slot under the pulley. The way you have it in the picture it works, but there is always some clamping action at the pulley, even during ascent.

    Mike Storey's magic box

I think price wise it is right in line with a falteimer.

    Mike Storey's magic box

It probably isn't the best way but it takes up the least space, fastest off the ground, it hangs nicely, and is fast to deploy. (Coiling)

    Mike Storey's magic box

It is heavier and a little larger than a normal cube. But it folds flat and is a neat rectangle which is a bit easier to puzzle into places than a triangle.
