Gas blowers banned in Ann Arbor Mi

I think the gas/lithium blower issue will have solved itself in 4 years. Who wants to go on record saying that they'll still be using a gas blower in 4 years? We can time stamp this sh*t and check back.
I anticipate I'll still be using a gas blower. I'm not replacing a $700 blower until it's dead.

If I am buying new, and the prices and performance are similar sure, I'll pick battery powered. But I don't like the idea of being forced to dispose of working equipment...just because.

We use a little hand held Milwaukee M18 more minutes in a given week than the big Stihl backpack blower. But its always on the truck for when the mess is to big for the little blower.

Haha all is a strong word
Not all client nor would most would be onboard , but I don’t clean up leaves unless they’re attached to the limbs we chip or what spills about in the process , I’m a tree surgeon, naturally ;)
I was speaking to my prefer method if I ruled the world
We blow our work area clean before we start so that we don’t have to cleanup a mess that we didn’t create

We blow our work area clean before we start

That was SOP in the spring/fall and occasionally during the growing season.

I would have a line-item on the estimate for 'pre-work yard cleanup' Clients were told that if the mess, this was used very effectively in the spring for frozen/thawed dog do do [see note], was left, there would be a __________ charge.

My reminder to the client was that my company name was Canopy Tree Care not Canopy Yard Care. This eliminated misunderstandings for that 'fade line' where cleanup begins/ends.

Note: The company policy was to pay whoever cleaned up the dogmess pocketed or split the cleanup charge, as well as wages. Again, company name is CTS not CDDDS

I would say that a lot of people underestimate the efficacy of just mowing. As long as it’s not too wet and the leaves aren’t a foot deep you can just mulch them with a good mower. Chopping speeds decomp and returns nutrients to the soil, as well as keeping your yard ship shape without blowing/raking.

Although I suppose they will ban gas mowers next. Invest now in the state of the art in leaf removal tech- zero emissions!:

Yup! 80% of our leaves and needles get run over with the Deere yard tractor. Quick, easy, and environmentally friendly. About 10% go into our wooded area and 10% gets burned in the neighbors fire pit.
