I currently use a 12' lanyard. just your standard friction hitch (distel) with a pinto pulley. I do both removals and pruning. about a 50/50 mix these days with the on going ash problem. My typical trees are the typical Illinois trees. Maples, Ash, Oak, Locust, Elm.
