An adjustable bridge is great. But my personal take on the rope grab is that it is pushing directly on the bridge paw. On the TM saddle I would worry about it metal on metal contact always pushing and rubbing on that paw. You could just clip a biner on it and use a short lanyard that way you...
I tied a slip knot and put a biner through it behind the paw on my TM today and got the bridge as short as it would go it worked great for the assent one up in the cnopy I just removed the biner and popped out the slip knot and my bridge was a normal working length. I don't see a need for a 6'...
I have major problems with my hips saw a surgeon and x-rays don't look good but at 53 I really don't want a chunk of steel that will where out in 15 years. I use a tree motion but I think any saddle with a wide back and side is the Key. I have an old Buckingham and I will were that when I just...
I have read all I can this question may have been asked Has anyone used the BDB Ddrt with success? I've used it SRT and it works wonderfully. But I am wondering where to connect I can remember the term but the rope you don climb on maybe standing part to you saddle so it doesn't rub on the BDB...
So the load cell should have told him what kind of tension he had on it if it were operating properly. So why was it over there tension? I don't understand did it malfunction? Have you had any close calls like this before? I have never done crane work and would unless the operator and I had...
I cut 3 tanks worth and no problems I let the old bar oil sit and can't see any water. If any was in there if was very little. I am a hurting unit know I have to have my hip replaced and I am only 53 but I saw the pics and I keep telling myself the more I move the better it will be. Its not...
Well it is oiling again but I have it set to wide open and I had it turned back a little I think. My only concern is that when I was adjusting the carb. oil was coming out from under the clutch cover. I have a 25" Stihl bar the oil adjuster only turns 1/2 - 3/4 turn. I'm going to go cut my oak...
That is crazy scary I had a boss like that once great guy but like you said it's like talking to a wall. Glad your OK it could have come out much worse than if you got hit by the chain . Like you said it hit your rope or you could have gone for one hell of a ride. Any way to install a LMI on...
I put this in the chain saw forum but was getting no responses. Also PM Jackcc but no response either there is a good feeling story in here so I thought I would put it in here. I held a plumb line to this oak and originally was going to put a rope on it but being a hard head I am I thought...
Not long ago I bought a MS460 from Cheat - Bay. I new the saw had after market fuel and oil caps so I asked the seller if they were and he said no they might have been they didn't have the black line on them. Got the saw gas cap leaking like crazy. Any way I put a dual port muffler on and some...
