I know it can expensive but I have two sets of spikes, tree and pole. We have a wide variety of trees around here and I could do everything with tree spikes but I prefer to use pole spikes when I can. I feel my balance is better on smaller trunks but it's something that can be worked around as...
The jackets are not saw resistant, I did see you can buy saw resistant sleeves for them. But that is probably a lot more cash for a high price product already. They look like the form, fit would be great but I'm more worried about function. As in how do they hold up and will I get my back soaked...
Anyone have any experience with this jacket? Wondering how waterproof they are? How do they hold up? https://www.sherrilltree.com/clothing-gear/jackets/arbortec-bf-pro-work-jacket
I am no expert by any means but I'll take a shot. The above video is very good, watch it. If you are worried about gaffing out and not having a tip you could set your climbing rope around the tree with a running bowline then tie into the bridge with your climbing device. Basically your making a...
Understand your looking for a wraptor, didn't know if you had seen the Ronin. About half the price but has drawbacks compared to the wraptor. Good Luck!
I wonder sometimes about some of these replies I see on forums. I wonder if the question was asked "face to face" if it would be the same answer? I seriously doubt the "Snarky" attitude would be so prevalent when looking another man in the eye? I find some replies to be of such an idiotic off...
Pardon my being very green but I do not understand the MBS to WLL on some of these.
CMI Compact 3/4 MBS, 51,000 WLL 5,100
DMM 200KN 5/8 MBS, 44,960 WLL 8,992
CMI 178KN 3/4 MBS, 40,000 WLL 6,000
Why does the CMI that has the highest MBS have the lowest WLL? The sheave...
I don't get some of these answers. Apparently the customer wanted the work done with a crane and weather not it could be done without is irrelevant, they are paying the bill. Since they were offered a price it should remain at what was agreed upon since there were no mitigating circumstances...
I guess I need to back myself out of this conversation because I don't understand it. No sense cluttering your post up any farther. Good luck and I will follow along.
I'm not sure that I would want to trust my safety to a remote or another person at ground level. You would be relying on them or the remote to stop it if you got in trouble. I understand you are taking the same risk when doing crane work, but I would trust a trained crane operator a lot farther...
Hope this is ok.
Just a FWIW. I was in the local Rural King today, HK bar oil $4.99 a gallon. Also saw Lucas, SEF, and some other brand of 40:1 / 50:1 premix on sale. Also Stihl 2 cycle oil on sale.
