Thanks Evan for your interest,
Pretty bad form the way your comment was handled.
I called my arborist supplier and asked, could you tell me the difference between the Buckingham portawrap 111 large and the Sherrill Tree 1V portawrap, he said that the Sherrill Tree portawrap is just an...
Thanks 96coal449 ( Craig ) for your .02cents.
This is a valuable tip for me, ( you
got me thinking again ), you make perfect sense.
I have decided to add a 16mm (5/8) Teufelberger
Sirius Dead Eye Sling , 12ft (4m) to the mix for the block.
16mm (5/8) Yale multisling 15ft (5m) will now be...
Thanks TreeBuzz for all your wonderful suggestions and advice,

after final deliberation.

Buckingham portawrap 111 large
Yale multisling, 8m long, (24ft.) 18mm (3/4) (for Porty)

Thank you for your input Dragonslayer, l imagined the Stein fixed bollard would be more stable, no
flopping around like the Portawrap, the Porty is more versatile though, like you say, The Stein 2001 is at least $120 more than the Porty, also l am on a fixed budget, ( big savings by...
Hi Tom, l am piecing together a kit for light to medium sized rigging, it looks like this at the moment,
ISC SMALL RED 5 / 8 pulley block
5 / 8 yale multisling to attach above block
Stein RC 2001 fixed bollard
5 / 8 yale multisling ( bollard backup )
I am not sure what type, diameter or brand...
This method is ok maybe if you had a short sling and you were stuck,
I always come prepared with many slings of different lengths and diameters,
I have been using the tried and tested Cow Hitch for years, it has never let me down.
There is no need to reinvent the wheel.
Looks like a very...

I like the distal 5 over 1 (10mm yale silverstreak cool prusik cord, 28in. long, I make the eye to eye myself, l find its more practical). I climb on Yale Poison Ivy 11.7 tropical rope with hitch climber pulley and rope wrench setup,(12in. 4srt tether and 4srt chester) it works like a dream...
