    Another aerial friction rigging device?

My brother ran them on his cnc mill. Can’t remember the brand but it is a beast from the 80s-90s

    Positioner vs zillon

I absolutely love the art positioned with swivel. I have it on a petzl rope lanyard ( no idea what rope it is, it comes with the grillon). Pitch doesn’t seem to bother it and pulling slack is effortless.

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

I’ve had the enforcer between the block and the sling in a dynamic rigging setup. We got a reading of around 550lbs on some medium size oak limbs. It doesn’t tell us how much of that was held by the man on the end of the rope vs the friction at the block, but it was no problem to hold by hand.

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

In the shop static test: Stable braid 1/2” held ~450lbs with 45lbs on the control side 1/2” 16 strand held ~250lbs at 45lbs both ropes brand new, so real world numbers on a used rope I would expect more holding power.

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

Wear is the big unknown on this project. The longest used prototype I have definitely shows wearing, but hasn’t got to the point where it effected functionality. This next batch is going to be designed with a replaceable and flip able lower bollard. The main bollard is big enough and has a large...

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

It works great as a speed line control break. Also works on the tail end of the speed line to hold tension. It can be used in a 2 or 3:1 pulling setup to pull and hold tension when felling. It works well as a rigging control line for slowing down a big swing or in a two rope rigging scenario. It...

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

Our goal right now is three fold. One is to figure out if there is interest, and it looks like there is. Two is to get a few out into the world to get feedback on the design and to make sure it works as intended in the real world. Three is to build interest and show rock exotica that it is a...

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

It’s still early times for sure. Morgan and I are working on a limited run we can offer to those interested in helping us get the project really going. I’m not ready to start taking names quite yet.

    Another aerial friction rigging device?

Morgan and I have been working on this for a while now. It is our product at this point and the goal is to have Rock pick it up and run with it. It is very inspired by the aesthetic of the Omni design.

Akimbo Rope Runner Pro Free-fall ....

These are exactly the trope of tests that rock Exotica performed. Slack line fall from above the tie in point. To my knowledge no rope failed to engage at all, however on some ropes the Akimbo slid farther than CE standards allow. Thus the approved rope list. part of owning and using any...

    hitchhiker 2 versus HHx

What I found most annoying about having to tie and untie the stopper knot ( besides the knot cinching down and being a pain to get loose) was having to retune he perfect length of hitch every time.

    hitchhiker 2 versus HHx

I really want to see some way to keep the stopper knot tied and install /remove it from the dogbone. I thought maybe you could milk one side into the shape of a tuning fork and cross drill it for a small slic pin. Another idea was to cut a slot just wide enough to squeeze the prussic in and out...

Anybody notice that the slic pin in the bird can be reversed? That’s a nice touch.

If a shitty Allen key is the worst problem so far your doing pretty damn well.

@bonner1040 , @treebing what about using a bolt with built in thread lock patch? Sounds like they are coming from the factory with thread lock on but the manual does not call for reapplication after making an adjustment. The nylon thread lock patch doesn’t lock as ticght as liquid but it stays...
