    Gerasimek's Tree-mek

Meet the Treemek #3, from Bloomington, IN from Tiffin Crane after seeing Glen's in action. At only about 25' long it can fit in some small spaces.

Boot lace ilets on Pfanner Zermatt GTX

I may be wrong but it seems they put it there to tighten the toe box and the one above the ones your trying to cut off locks them in so they don't loosen while you finish tightening them. I think you may be lacing them wrong. Try this.

Fiddle blocks... Are they going obsolete?

We still use the fiddle setup as a secondary and sometimes a backup. We use the mini the most but when you have co dominate tops, it's nice to be able to control both when persuading trees with a contra lean.

    Gerasimek's Tree-mek

Here we go again with the negative and ignorant (ie. no practical experience with actual use) comments of something new that might replace climbers. This will never replace climbers but it will make jobs safer and faster. If a tree mek saves even one climbers life is that worth it? Unless you...

All my guys run pfanner vents and are really happy with them. 2 years and no major problems with them. They get washed about every 2 weeks or so.

    Alternative to Alturnamats

A 4x8 plywood has the same 32 square footage as alturna mats, the later being slightly heavier. I can't seem to figure out how plywood would displace weight better. I would assume plywood my have less deflection than plastic under heavy loads maybe?

It was a busy canopy and I thought I was in that crotch, that was the only thing holding me. I'm 170lbs ( that's 77kg for the tea and biscuit folk) and use HAAS system.

    I hate bucket trucks.

Tools, they are only as good as the being behind the button. Times are changing, none of us here could prepare and be satisfied with the results. Needn't worry or argue any points of technology, we are all dinosaurs clinging to methods that will soon be archived by video game teens. Example...

    Mini Skids

Thanks. I bought a cabover 75 rear elevator so I can pull my track stumper up on it if needed but it's a cdl so it takes 12' ramps

    Mini Skids

Here is my setup, it sits pretty low now and I have 8' aluminum folding ramps. It really needs 10' ones but I'm happy with the durability of the ramps. The second pic is one of me getting the truck stuck and pushing myself out with the switch n go bed.

It was a while ago but it was a pignut hickory so it was pretty strong. Not that it excuses my ignorance. A guy that has been climbing for 30 years almost climbed with an open pulley about 50 feet but but spotted it before leaving the ground. Each time it goes back to heads were not totally in...
