    Am I ropewalking wrong...?

. This is how i get the most out, by following the numbers on where to focus efforts most critically; and decode what experience in shituation >> to fold back in. If bod is in chain, then get feel for how other devices 'feel' in that position and forces involved thru sensing machine of bod >>but...

    Am I ropewalking wrong...?

Images in my head. This miss-alignment tax is more from sides force added, than lift efficiency lost! As with any other system / chain of devices, system seeks to perform force column work against load(cosine); while trying to also sustain against side forces(sine).

    Am I ropewalking wrong...?

This mis-alignment of thrust to CoG: >>Reduces efficiency of the lift column SOME, to be more fatiguing But, i think the effort fighting the sideforce from pushing more mis-aligned/sideways >>is more fatiguing as a separate value. The climber fights both the side force pushing more outward and...

    Am I ropewalking wrong...?

In my twisted imagery: Wimmens are good at gymnastics balance beam cuz have a lower CoG; placed more in hip cradle(and wider hipset, the smaller feets not as big a factor) , so more stable like pyramid or martial arts squat. Guys have higher CoG; more solar plexus placed. . You are trying to...

    Streamlining workflow in spready oaks...

Always use lifeline as bomb pruf support. Rigging line as directional assist tho, sometimes all weight on it and lifeline as backup , or using both can give wide delivery options for positioning between both points Especially 2rig lines or 1 in upside down U to switch ends for rigging strategy...

    Double Dragon Loop

B.Fly is well proven in field for this, not best geometry tho. >>Best used I think isolate damage , or as a lesser pull at right angle to main pulls. . Pigtail drop off of tree, to long 'full tang' zRig (no midline knots in Z) for 3x against tree thru pigtail. Make sure gear falls out of tree...

    Friction device

Actually, i can't remember any such policy or even practice at da'House; In fact seems Butch's (virtually) 1 man show by comparison; has persisted to stand for open link policy etc. even after being exiled here and there himself; and virtually blacklisted by sponsors etc. from snotty end of...

Sad news to be sure. He was formative to some of my views!

    Let's define our terms

These OSHA drawings shows some of my imagery/definition of Barber Chair; Especially Top-Middle ( i beleive these were dated 70's-ish ; now even this is old) . Except would add the head clearance being impeded pushes back some and can get this folded back kill man standing behind/kickback...

Knots for joining two ropes for life support

i hope Agent Smith (and knudeKnoggin) find the way back around. . >>all/both views at the extreme end of rope theory and actual (and passionate)usage. >>still much to be l-earned on back and forth on many things! . i'm sure in many ways he is right, in actual human load usage against these lines...

I want a rope with almost zero stretch.

If could climb it doubled as one rope; (dbld.cam etc.) would yield a return of less elasticity.

    "One handing" a chainsaw??!!

Existentially quantified, that would simply in fact be; exactly the same but different. >>So of course makes perfect sense to do as you say!

    "One handing" a chainsaw??!!

i think if have enough experience; to rule out all other options, you may elect to 1 hand as an extreme exception; not as a way of life.

    Let's define our terms

ok! Sorry for delay; deep in drawing think tank mode; but don't worry only publish half of it seems! . Numbers allow us to weigh and measure etc. to help decode the world around us to better process and understand things. So, becomes the language of many things. . The 2nd best selling...

    Let's define our terms

Well, stepSon got an engineering masters degree, always figured should take some blame for that. He and his class/teacher re-affirmed many things that were questioned in early years here and elsewheres that i offered. . As i chased and studied these things trying to feel them out and find the...

    Friction device

Thanx, just love this stuff! . i truly think; knotting is a main basic component to human thought evolution and advancement. . i think pre-historic 'man' was lacing together shelter, clothing then tools to suit; before commanding lever, fire, wheel or even having verbal language. Perhaps...

    Let's define our terms

Sorry i have had trouble with this since before can remember in elementary school. Always reading, living in head, routinely pedaled 5 mi. to go to 'real' library(that's a place they keep books Rico o_O). Mostly smallest conniving to keep up, and then some. Visualizing force flows thru body...

My 'hook' imagery of proper right angle support of rope pull as ABoK shows as best >>Then multiple bearings (not solo) of pull for 'lengthwise' pulls as an errant angle of pull. . Replacing the rope hug effect of sides collapsing in to support (like rigid metal doesn't)with steel no hug >>more...
