I think the Chicane is certified to be used only with the new models of zigzag and zigzag plus (image from page 7 of technical notice). It will probably work just fine with older models, but I´m guessing it will not be allowed for ISA comps.
As long as it has CE and EN certifications, you can use it.

I have used both, the stryder has a better buckle, is more robust and I like that you can remove the cam lock. However it really sucks on wet ropes, it gets stuck and doesn´t tend at all, can be very frustrating.
