That's just it, you gain in one area and lose in the other, I guess it's where you prefer that gain.
The 1/2 KM3 we are using the bump adds just a bit too much friction on ascent for me. Probably won't be as much of an issue with smaller/smoother ropes. I do really like the bump on decent...
This was a cool climb next to the river, when at the spot I should be at I looked over the bridge and there was nothing but jaggers on each side of the tree for yards. I told my wife "There is no way I'm fighting through all that to get to the tree". She points up at the throw line and says "You...
Congrats on the win! I have enough biners, but during the trek I kept thinking how cool it would be to win one of those little omni swivels. Hope your son is enjoying his winnings.
Something funny...
When we were up in the tree your son asked me if I was Mr. Mumford, I didn't know to be...
We are south of Pittsburgh in Washington, but my wife works downtown.
Maybe if there is a decent weekend we could head out......they are calling for snow on Sunday, what the...........!
Nick how long you keeping the throwlines and buckets up? Maybe we could take some of them down for you.
I have another picture I think was cool, I'll post it when I find it (think it's on my wife's phone).
That was an easy tree, but still fun, they put the bucket at the very top and you had to reach for it. I had the urge to just climb up it like I would when I was a kid.
Wish you wouldn't have...
Yes thank you Carson, Nick, Luke and Erin, me and my wife (groundie and brains of the team) had an absolute wonderful time.
Wife point at tree, I climb.
I've used Cherry bomb, Yale 11.7, Tachyon, Kernmaster, and KM-III 1/2". Each have their pluses and minuses, but overall I like the KM-III the best for the RR.
Thanks for the video Kevin.
Could you please give me some details on what you're doing?
Looks like you're using two runners, and two foot ascenders.
What exactly is your setup. How are you attaching the RRs to your harness, keeping them aligned, tending them. Descending, any special...
Kind of embarrassed showing mine with all it's newbie-newness compared to all the cool broken in ones here. But here it is, still working on it, nothing special, you've seen it all before, probably because most of the ideas I get from you guys. Never thought I'd get excited or have fun...
Something like attaching 500# to the device and dropping it with 10' of slack in the rope? I can see testing such as that being useful to a point, mostly I suppose for the manual, like the RR "The Rope Runner is a work positioning tool. The Rope Runner is NOT A FALL ARREST DEVICE".
Or "The...
Pffft unskilled squids, burning up tires going sightly over the speed limit. I actually donate tires to guys like this because my tires only get used on the sides when at racetrack, for them, they are basically getting a brand new tire for nothing.
The bikes last as long as their skin does...
