Anyone actually had to USE a clot pack? I've heard that they have to cut that stuff out when you get to the hospital, making me think it's a last resort kind of thing (after applying pressure) ... but wondering if anyone has firsthand experience?
Thanks for the tips man. You're right: zero time on a porty before making these. They've been working for me, though, but I only rig down the occasional leaner.
I haven't had to deal with people in a park, but I'll never forget Lawn Man. This guy owned the property, the house was a rental and empty, and when I started dropping stuff he decided to ... fertilize the yard. He shows up at this point in my video of the job. Lawn Man had a death wish.
Absolutely terrifying, man. I posted a video a day or two ago of my Rope Runner Pro making a weird chirping sound in a tree. Nothing like what you experienced but it freaked me out and made me wonder about the consistency of the device.

My gear "bag" is 6 of these totes behind the seat in the truck. At the job I pull one out, throw it in my wagon, fill it with whatever special gear I need for the job, and go. Easy to hose out and never suck moisture in via the bottoms when working in muck https://amzn.to/3q1Ic7R
I was reading the recent thread "Most Expensive Tree Removal" with great interest, and it got me thinking: Does anyone else do pro bono (i.e., without charge) tree removals? Or highly discounted removals for low or no income folks?
I'd done a few such jobs in the poorer neighborhoods of my...
