My Uruguyans got knocked out right away, but at least they were in it for a sec; Chile failed to even qualify. Now I just have Argentina to root for.

We were in the Rockies on a family vacation (8 years ago? !) and it seems I remember Uruguay going further. I love all the SA teams, having played against the local club team in Colombia ( and getting slaughtered), they are all talented.

Uruguay punches way above their weight class, so to speak. They've won twice, including beating Brazil, though that was in 1950. They hosted the first World Cup in 1930 [then the World Championship) and won against Argentina.
