    Spider jack 2

For David using 13mm line you'll likely get longer before wear causes creep than someone on 11mm. I'd say the majority of spiderjack users are running 11, 11.5, 11.7mm doublebraid lines.

    The new Ford Ranger???

Just bought a 3.0 turbo diesel ranger couple of months ago. In Oz we don't really have the BIG pick ups you guys seem to use. We tend to go from these size things to actual trucks if you really need to carry something bigger.

    Vermeer 1400xl = Lemon?

We've put over over 8500 hours on our 1800a. I'd say it has been ultra reliable and trouble free, beyond welding repairs to things getting bent or fatigued, which i accept with these hours as being reasonable. I did get stitched up well and truly by vermeer for a service/repair that turned a...

Single hand ascender with WR. L or R?

What i like about the futura is your grip is really just like grabbing the rope, it feels really natural to me but has the obvious benefit of doing the gripping for you. A traditional handle sometimes feels like it puts a different angle on the wrists that just doesnt feel as good for me.

    soil comapction at ISA events

In Sydney at ITCC at least in the park used for the trade show mats were used for all vehicle movement in and out. A lighter duty plastic matting was used in all exhibitor tents and as walkways between them. Just as well, as it turned out real wet the day before.

WOW! It is commendable that you can tackle such a task and commendable that someone is prepared to pay for it. Who is the customer? As in, private, commercial or government?

Alternative methods to working a spar

[ QUOTE ] I would agree with treeRgood. This would be SRT though. I think it is the simplest least gear intensive, safest way to work a spar. A rope wrench keeps the hitch from binding. [/ QUOTE ] The wrench makes this technique work a treat!
