New Boots!

I just sent my limmer standard boots back to get resoled. I’m having peter and ken put the vibram 100 pattern on them. So far after climbing in the limmers for one year doing removals and pruning they have held up extremely well. The inner stitching on the left boot needs a little attention but no big deal.
Can’t wait to check them out when they get back.

I've been rocking some Asolo TPS 520 GV's for a year (14 months, actually), every single day. Rec climbing, pruning, in spurs, everything. I'm really surprised at how well they are holding up. They provide a decent cross between support and sensitivity. The only drawback is that, every once in a while, the speed lace hook gets snagged when foot-locking but has not resulted in rope or boot damage.

I must have gotten a defunct pair then, mine came apart in less than 9 months! Sole and boot came apart. They were comfortable though!

Bummer to hear, Bull. I still think the market is wide open for manufacturers to offer a wider variety of boots that are truly geared towards tree climbing. When I need new boots, I will be looking for normal eyelets from toe to top...no speed hooks. I'll spend the extra 20 seconds while the coffee is kicking in. I think the Arborpro boot is like that...

The Arborpro boot is one sweet pair! Very comfy, and the soles are like rock climbing shoes, very sticky.

We'll see how they hold up over time.

[/ QUOTE ] feel the same way. they broke in so sweet too. the only problem i got is a tear at the back where the pull tab is. looks like the leather tore at the stitch. 300 bucks, i wasn't expecting holes for at least a year.

I have heard a rumour of a new and improved Arbpro boot in the works with safety toe and possibly cut protection.Should garner some interest.

Did you read all of that out of my total lack of response to your last question of me????? If so, you're spot on! lol
