I see this is your first post in 2 and a half years, clearly nothing has changed about you.

Geeze sorry mr. senstive. Everyone was waiting to hear about the crane and your website. I know we compete against each other for treework but there's no need to attack me on an open forum. Good luck try to smile once and a while.

...Lenders want to see you make gradually larger and larger purchases over the years...

Good info to know. Though that sort of sucks for us guys who have a vision of something grand that could be... to only be shut down by the man.

A close friend of mine owns this company:

http://www.jcrane.net/

He bought a 200 ton grove recently. He went to Europe and made the purchase there and went through the import process. He claims it saved him a significant amount of money. I'm sure he would we be willing to give you the info on what he did. The crane he bought wasn't new. It was a couple years old and maybe 500 hours if I remember correctly?

I made a large equipment purchase this year as well. I struggled to get financed. It was large for me, but nothing compared to what you are looking at. We have audited financials and a very solid record. In the end it worked out, but it wasn't easy. Banks seem to still be a little tentative IMHO.

Just an update. We decided not to go through with the deal at this time. We got our deposit back and we are reevaluating which make and model crane we would like to move forward with.

Wow. I think that turned out really good then.

I never added my opinion because it seemed you were already committed.

Glad you have time to research and get something that might work out much better for you.

I got a loan at 5.5% for 5 years late last year. I was able to get quotes going out as far as an 8 year term.

As a total sum I was financing less that 1/3 of the price of the roadmaster. Not sure how financing works on this big stuff.
