Technical Advisory Committee

The innovations may come, but don't expect them to be allowed at any TCC anytime soon....

I guess it is now standard practice for an ISA official to call our insurance agent to make sure that A. we have insurance and B. that they are aware that the RW has FAILED half of the tests run with it....

I don't suppose you would be so kind as to actually make those "tests" available to the manufacturer and the distributor for us to see? Didn't think so.... That is some truly unprofessional stuff there and really shows to what length the ISA is trying to single out and stifle the RW....

I didn't think this could get any more ridiculous......but clearly I have underestimated the ISA....

What happened to the days of having a jamboree to demostrate innovative climbing techniques? We should as climbers get back to it. Organize climbs locally and have fun. It takes two to tango. TCC need climbers to climb. If you don't like the rules, don't play. It is clear to me that climbers opinions do not have an once of say in any of these committees.

There are alternative insurance premiums a TCC can go to besides the ISA. If this hinges on the insurance argument, that is simple to get around...until you get to the ITCC and then the RW is not allowed.

If insurance companies are being fed false information and it is being filed in data bases, it is only a matter of time before outside insurance discover this and also deny coverage.

You're right. Let's forget about innovations. Whatever they say is best.
