Treestuff was great before it sold, I ordered everything from them. Then things got slow for a while and communication wasn't good so I started buying from a different supplier who's been great. Ordered from treestuff a few months ago, got a few glasses and an orange kask on clearance... ratchet...
Wondering what saddle all of the heavier guys are currently climbing. My new tribe onyx is getting tired and I’m looking to replace it. Obvious replacement is the monkey beaver 2.0
But the Tree Rex 2 also has my attention as well. I’m 5’11”, 310lbs before gear, and waist fluctuates between...
I use towable lifts occasionally on super dead or crispy trees, not just ash. I can't guarantee that it's honestly any faster but its definitely a safer more reliable option. If you thought you were gonna be in a time pinch as far as completing in one day I'd focus on just getting the...
When i did line clearance the utility had a cell phone for on call and all crew leaders were on a weekly rotation for on call. You just took the phone for your week and it was your responsibility. You got an extra 2$/hr on your regular check for on call weeks as well. You knew your rotation so...
You're probably gonna think I'm stupid but the best things that I think have personally kept me moving well are:

*Good boots - I wear Hoffman Powerlines...
You have to set some boundaries for yourself and stick to them. Me personally I don't work weekends or to late into the afternoon. I know what my overhead and operating cost are and bid accordingly. Jobs get booked in the order that people agree to them unless it is an immediate hazard/storm...
I guess it depends on what flavor of saw you prefer. As far as light toppers go I believe a lot of people are gravitating towards modded Echo 2511.
I personally use all husqvarna. Top handle is the T540xp Mk3 (which absolutely isn't light) with the west coast saws muffler and dogs and its...
I climb with the onyx still. I’ve used the petzl caritools forever (with no issue). I don’t use the stock ring on my saws though. I had a local leather shop make a short lanyard with a ring. Much easier to grab and hang saw on saddle again.
I have had a few months on the t540xpMkiii now with the westcoast saws muffler. I can tell you that you will probably want to get some small lock washers to help hold the muffler on, as I rattled it off once. The saw with the muffler is an absolute raped ape. I can get majority of a tree down...
