So have many of you guys spliced any 8 mil ocean lately? I tried splicing some up a few days ago and......lets just say the cover is still taped to my wire fid going thru the crossover section...it's super tight. I had to put it down to try and finish up another day...any tips?
Yea, what oceans said. I noticed that too. A long fid length is the way to go.....I usually put a 2 inch taper on the core and stick it thru my wire fid but leave the entire taper parallel to fid (not folded back) then just tape it starting at the wirefid then keep the tape tight as possible...
Not sure what the braid is called, I divided the strands into 6 pairs then braided them evenly and as tight as I could get them. Any special or certain braid you recommend nick?
Yea, I braided it as tight as I could get it then taped it to the wire fid and pulled it in for final bury then tapered it and stitched it. I wish I would have put heat shrink on it before so I could shrink it over the brummels. Instead I just whipped over the brummels really tight with waxed...
What do you guys think about this process and it's strength? I made it out of 3/8ths nerex with dmm rings and chafe sleeve to help with picking. I buried the tails 8" with a taper
I have to go with the other guys, omni block 1.5 on a heavy duty cmi 14,000 lb loop sling or on an adjustable 3/8ths amsteel whoopie with a cordura chafe sleeve
Well, here it is.... Shout out to Luke for having the faith in my product and for the rest of you who have been using my bull riggers... If you guys have any cool pics or videos I would love to see them posted here. Thanks guys.

I girth my saw lanyard thru the rear ring then short hang the saw on caritool. If I'm ascending a long way or coming down I'll just let it hang straight down from rear ring.
Great looking rig there nick, why did you make it so long tho? Is it so it would be easier to install in a crotch... Meaning that you could just throw one ring over what ever crotch you chose as a rigging point and then just equal it out and install the rigging line?... I can't wait to use mine...
So is anyone else using the double large x rings as a replacement for a block ? I just spliced two of them onto a 5/8ths tenex sling about 4ft total length with a cordura sleeve to use as a rigging point for my 1/2" & 9/16ths rigging lines...anyone use this setup and if so what do you think...
