And people like that always talk to you like you're the one who's unfamiliar with the equipment. I get this every time I go into a saw shop or even Vermeer to look at climbing gear.
Not to derail too far but this happened yesterday with a major bucket truck manufacturer's sales rep. We bought a new truck and he came by for the walk through, which seems like their insurance maybe requires, and I had to show him how to tip the bucket to empty it and how to engage the body prop.
I replaced mine when it started cracking like that and was really bummed to see the replacement begin to crack within 2 years with very minimal use and always stored away from UV light.
Great thread! I wish my 1390 was outfitted with the adjustable chute. My current chip truck has a kind of low roof chip box. So I can either buy the adj. chute kit from Bandit for $2600 or mod the chip box. I'll probably do the latter since it has the added benefit of more chip capacity.
Something that helped me with this same condition was prolozone therapy. Ozone injections near effected area that stimulate blood flow and healing. This and REST, definitely not squeezing tennis balls all day. I also notice a big difference (helpful) with wearing the elastic brace around elbow...
I'm pretty sure that Madsen's will build saws too, you have to call them. No personal experience with any ported saws though, I just run them stock.

They look like used utility line clearance trucks. I bought one this summer and it has been working out ok.
Just here to say that I agree that the site is garbage and I wrote to them as well to express my frustrations. I certainly want to see the CEU report so I can make sure that everything is accounted for.
I like the ISA but don't really like the direction it has gone. It seems like it's too easy...
