XRR sling ideas

Been using this for a while. Borrowed the sling idea from the ABR Ultra sling from TreeStuff.com (an excellent product), but used two independent lengths of cordage. My original was 5/8" Tenex Tec with two large rings. This one is 3/4" Tenex Tec with two "Beast" rings. At just over 10' overall it will work for stems up to 36" in diameter.

Love your sling! Just curious, John … why not put an eye in the end opposite the rings? It seems like a 'dead-end' is a waste. An eye would be a little easier to make and give some extra 'usable' length to the sling.

I like a dead end because it makes a redirect moveable midline. Just undo the cow hitch, and place elsewhere in the tree.

Wait... I see what you're getting at. I considered this, but getting the length just right for the rings to align at the working end seemed like a lot of work. The ultra-type sling is super easy to construct. I guess I'm just lazy
