Nope I didn't get scared away I work in Rhode Island Monday through Friday and have no computer out there. I'm not being "wimpy" Riggs I just think your being an [pick a different word] hole. If your so concerned with me learning from a "pro" and you wanna talk all this [pick a different word] then why don't YOU come "train" me? I'm not some internet wannabe. It seriously sounds like you have some problems on the inside what happened to you as a kid I don't know and don't want to know. Next time if you see something you don't like just don't reply. It really amazes me someone whose supposed to be older and mature would waste their time writing all those annoying posts. Get a life man.

jealous of youth , that's awesome . Weed is rampant in that state . Jealous of youth might be with the pretty women but not tree work . Dummys.com. and Bob the climber says ...train you ? really ? I don’t even know if you got it . lot of people got social media skills , but real work and talent are earned . It’s a good question though . who on tree buzz would you want to train you for a six week period ? I’ve trained a lot of people . but there is Norm , Chisolm , Todd , Reg , Tony , many many others . So Bob , no doubt you need training , wait I forgot to mention TOMTHETREEMAN . any way , seriously , couldI I train you ? think you be better in six weeks ? Let me tell you something young bucks , I'm glad I'm not young and stupid , and I am also glad I met older people whan I was young that made me better . Didn't treat me like mommy , told me how it was , is , jealous my asz , the last thing I want to be is a no nothing tree climber in Rhode Island , or be a buddy of that guy . Today I shot my throw line 80 ft. up in the top of a group of small redwoods. Within minutes I had a speed line placed high and a high tie in point to use my Hitch Hiker from. It made the job go so much easier.
As I was getting ready to post this it made me realize that my whole method of setting lines from the ground, for climbing, for pulling, Big Shot usage, method of throwline management - all of it was inspired from these pages and similar writings that I had come across in the last couple of years. Previous thirty plus years - just hard work and pushing harder to make it go faster. Now fun and interesting, and hard work.

I don't know about everybody else, but I do not appreciate this sort of language being added to the conversations. especially leveled at new members. How does this strike everybody else? Doesn't sound like teasing, as that tends to imply friendship, or mutual participation. I don't think anyone else brings this climate to the table.

Having said that, I agree there's too much babying going on these days. Maybe this ain't the best forum to put the hammer down on somebody though. That stuff's better done face to face. Easier to recognize a joke when you can see somebody. Or throw in a superman punch
