who here uses a throwline?

awesome thread . Bob the climber , I mean Bob the "climber" . I did hook you up by insulting you your thread . I know young people need to be eased on , I don't know how long or how hard it is for you to get up a tree , but , if the internet and social media is going to make you a better climber than good luck with that . Use a throwline and get training somewhere . This is a discussion forumn , not a training forum . Big difference between a production treeworker and a internet , youtube , wnanna be . People make jokes , I think it is sad that you don't know . people here are glad that you don't , and want to "teach" you . If you are asking who uses a throwline , than , you have many more questions . I'm a di*k ? really ? it's not a game it's a job . I've taught a lot of people a job , didn't do it like mommy . Get a throw ball , and get a job with real pros . Sorry I hurt your feelings ! WAH ! Get up that tree ! BOB !

Just a grumpy old tree guy, who knows his stuff... whatever...who gives a chit...got better things to do...forums are just that take what ya want leave the rest....blah blah...

Bob, the majority of us believe you can learn a lot from this forum and we'll be glad to help.

Many people lanyard in and advance their climb line with a throwing knot (monkey fist, etc). While it's not the most efficient way to ascend, it is a tool every climber should have and uses from time to time. Even Riggs almighty uses it

Body thrusting up a tree gets easier the closer you get to your tie in point. So if that's your only method of ascension, then (not "than" Riggs) a really high tie in point can wear you out.

Now Riggsy you got me laughing..what are we to do with you...too much...guess harmless banter...you be livin...so alls good...guess Bob will get on with things...

I would say it is what you make it or allow it to be, discussion, learning, teaching, training, social networking or just a plan waste of time. The choice is always our own.
