what's in your rigging bags?! Show em up !

Agreed! It's an excellent little piece of gear.
I think k I read in a recent thread you've had a change in heart with the AFB from this statement John. What did you discover after more use with the product?I had an original basset belay spool. For the projects I used it with I wasn't impressed ,but maybe I was forcing it's use because it was new .. I did have some success with it. I'd like a heavier duty rign wrench style ..the yarding back up after a large piece wouldn't be as slow I think.. Any "safe blockers" got any updates on how that's working for them?

I think "little" might be the operative word in this case. It works fine for little stuff, is quick to set up, and has a nice build and finish. Maybe I expected too much... maybe I like to push the limit at times a bit. Seems like I found the limit on the AFB pretty quickly. It still functions, but now permanently resides on a 1/2" tenex loopie. Nick was very quick to respond to my post on the THT thread, so my AFB is now en route to him for further investigation. Treestuff does stand behind their products.

That's cool. Thanks John.

Any info come out of it?

The AFB was a game changer for my,two man operation. With that in the tree and a spider leg sling, I am tying off, cutting and lowering things just in time for the Groundie to pull it to the chipper and un-tie and then it is on to the next one while he cuts and chips. It has literally taken jobs that would have been two days for us and turned them into one. I love that piece of gear.

I should copy and past this on to TreeStuff.com, maybe I can get a free t-shirt out of it. LOL

Who else made it in before the cut-off in the early pages, where I said I was sending a free XRR sling to? Robert21157 wrote me a PM. And I know John Uselding bought a safebloc on preorder from Xtreme. I've been out of slings for a long time, cause the splicing guy has been cutting fire trees on the west coast and I see now might never come back. So I'll just buy slings from sherrill and send them to you guys. Since u waited so freakin long, I feel I owe you a lot more than one sling. Write me at XtremeArborist@yahoo.com. . (please no jokers to slow up the truth of who I really owe).

No Levi. Not yet. But it will happen. I have all the video to do it. Just need time. To be honest, I've been close to the breaking point financially, mentally and on the edge of ruining my family due to investing in time and money into promoting the rings to the industry and almost having no return after investing and paving the way for the concept to be accepted.

So, it looks like I owed Steve still and he's being awesome and passing it on to someone else. (See, wow, infrequent moments of giving like this, makes me have hope that all people aren't shi*.) Thank you soooo much Steve.

The next person that's posts, can have Steve's stash.

I admire and respect your dedication David. True innovators stick with it not for the money, but for the love of the game and because it's their passion.

I don't want any slings either, but seeing as I guess I've claimed the rights to Steve's stash, I want you to take the money you would have spent on those slings and either use it to help yourself out or donate it to a worthwhile cause that's meaningful to you.

I would love the pay it forward sling,i came on just after you told us about the promotion,so i just missed it. I also love paying it forward...
