got few rings in my stocking and my boy got me lil bit of double braid, just splicing it up...

Thanks for revibing this one paul.. Ever get into the rig N rings ? .. I feel it's tool every rigger ought to know. You'll find it indispensable once your setting (retreivable maybe novel in some instances but proves useful when you want it ) rigging points that can hold a shit ton.. Sometimes I'll just go up to make the cut after setting all rigging and Ropes from the ground. Means alot to some ,not much to others .. I get paid for Tree assinations being fast and accurate.. the rigging rings , As well as some other tools that help deploy them quickly and get Trees flying where we want make that money just a bit easier..:)
I have never used the rigging rings but the idea seems really great and the reviews from folks who have awesome. I thinking about picking up one of the ultra ring slings to use as a rigging redirect. Do you use them often in place of your blocks all together?

I don't... But to each their own,a double headed large ring size ultra sling would get alot of use though imo, a single ring doesn't have a large enough bend ratio to use solo(for me anyway). retrievable is appealing, choking and ready to go is nice as well,i will end up making one of them ultra slings soon enough but,for me,nothing gonna replace a block(at least no time soon),they keep the innovation going and it will be sooner than later, the 3 hole thimble that xman made is appealing as well, eliminating a step is always going to make it that much easier.

I haven't had a pulley or block in my typical rigging set up in probably close to two years. Unless I need to to actually lift or pull something into the rigging, I'm all rings, and even when pullig into the rigging, if your angles aren't sharp you can do so easily with rings. They help give you great control on the ground letting pieces run precisely in my opinion. Also you can set them so there is basically no drop slop between sling and where piece is tied.

And they are light, cheap, strong, and easy to make custom slings!

I'm a real ringer 99% of the time Paul. Usaully just the xring in 1/2 stable braid ring n ring and the 9/16 stable abr rig n ring for most everything ..I have the large dmm impact block that does not come out really ...for a while now.. I got a 3/4 xrig n ring setup as well.. a beast whoopie setup old fart style. And an abr monster sling. I have even just thrown a 3/8 tenex prussic with ring capturing a beast ring in eye of 3/4 dead eye and chunked onto it. I'm mentioning these things cause when I think block I think you mean heavy dynamic load rigging and whole Tree static rigging. I go by my rope man saying he likes how rings feel. Can take half wrap less for example on base brake(porty bollard of you choice, whatever) when rigging through rings, let them take friction up there. More control in the hand with less bite on the brake.

You are very good at explaining what you mean lol

I'm under the impression he created those multi brummel eyed slings,as in he was the originator of that creation, hence the name
