I also just listened to a mother whose son was killed at Sandy Hook.

She said - this isn't just a gun problem or a people. It is a gun AND people problem. There are many things that need to change. Access to weapons, culture, healthcare, mental healthcare, our moral failings, etc.

I'll let the victims make the demands here - I am not qualified to make law.

I have a big problem with citizens United as well - corporations are not people but that is off topic.

We are throwing stones in the dark - it is a deep moral failing of our society. It is a perverse sickness. It is just as much my moral failings and responsibility as the murders and politicians.

I work on that daily - it starts with me. Not to get too much into the specifics - I had to make a decision a few years ago to change my life or i was going to die - I couldn't do it alone - and I couldn't do it on just will power alone.

I developed a deep personal faith that helps me navigate my ego, it helps me avoid pitfalls, it helps me look at my character defects and ask for guidance.

I meditate daily then pray to a god I can not name nor describe because it is beyond my understanding.

I have experienced results that have beat all odds - some might say, as I do - it is miraculous.

It could all be a delusion and figment of my imagination - but I'll take it - even if it is a delusion, life is beyond what I ever thought it would be and more internally satisfying than it was 7 years ago.

Some #'s on violent crime and mental health.
Less than 5% of violent crimes are committed by people with mental health issues.
People with mental health issues are 12 time more likely to be the Victim of a violent crime.
You would have to lockup 35,000 people with mental health problems to prevent 1 violent crime.
The rest of the developed world have the same rates of mental heath issues, but have exponentially less gun violence.
Making this all about mental heath is a NRA/right-wing diversion to keep us from the real problem. Too many guns!
Their solution to our gun problem is more guns. Sounds reasonable to me?

After listening all night to strategists working together regarding the NRA's and the GOP's early defense networks and talking points on supporting legal weapons of mass destruction and tactics to employ, the only reasonable effort to coalesce and build with is the total destruction of the NRA.

One republican Congresswoman promoted the idea that mass murderers become Democrats. To use this to counter the "paid actors pretending to be victims" influence on the media. We omitted her from further input and added her name to an enemies' list. An enemy of America.
There's hope. Merging the movements. All the issues we agree are related. Spousal abuse, molestation, pay scales, shoot first, corporate citizenship, fake news, and rightwing radio talk shows. The religious groups especially included.
Shitstorm brewing. Energy is atomic and funerals occur as we sharpen the political tools and adjust the aim, starting at the top down.
When owners of WMD's use fake news to justify their purchase and ownership "rights" to thousand round arsenals, the decisions to then use those weapons is flawed and only more innocents will die.
Take their weapons away. Believing fake news is a mental illness.

Would you then agree that someone who watches and then believes those statements, fearing for loss of country and rights, goes out and buys a semi-auto weapon and either employs it immediately or keeps it available and uses it later, when triggered again by Russian-backed propaganda or far right drivel triggers his inner demons. Seeing a black kid knocking on doors selling subscriptions, a Mexican, a disease spreader, in class with his kid, or a homeless vet asking for warm place to crash. I agree mental illness is rampant in America. I believe the volume and content of conservative talking points contributes highly to this.

But the oil industry enjoys tax-free production profits. 30% tax levied on wind farms.
