Tri-State Forestry Equipment

Money is hard earned in this buisness. You buy a piece of equipment to make your life easier that turns into a nightmare to figure out and financially a burden. We drove a 2000 int home from Schmitty around 2007-2008. Lasted a few weeks then needed major engine repairs. It was leaking antifreeze into the motor oil.

Endless you are a mechanic and really know what you are looking at its like playing Russian roulette.

Maybe they will come on here to defend themselves...

I don't think they care to they have been getting away with it for a very long time. If you look they still sell tons of equipment. They know alot of guys can't dish out 140g for a new rear mount so people will always gamble with 50g through them.

in our defense we sell the highest quality equipment in the industry, we pride ourselves on integrity and quality. theres a few negative reviews out there. most were wrote by our competitors in a attempt to gain a competitive edge. with that said i welcome anyone who does not believe everything they read on the internet to give us a call or stop in anytime

I believe in the concept of innocent until proven guilty. I don’t even need to think of a person as bad or guilty. I’m glad you can post here TriState and say what you have to say.

Just Google Searched, “Tri State Forestry Equipment Reviews” and read through it like it was a book. If I was about to buy a truck and was considering doing business with TriSate I would also contact at least one of the people that has posted an involved explanation of their personal experience. I would offer to pay them well for their time (send them to a great dinner etc.)

All the information anyone needs is available. Thanks Google and Thank You Tree Buzz members.

with all due respect i appriciate your honesty. like any business you can't please everyone, we strive to keep our customers happy and stock the highest quality equipment in the industry. we are the only one in the industry who offers any sort of warranty on our equipment we sell to give our customers a piece of mind. along with a certified and inspected boom.. on a DOT inspected chassis. our overall goal is to provide a service that no one else in the industry can offer. we build custom trucks for tree companies all over the country. when other dealers white wash there trucks we are capable of painting them ANY color combination imaginable.

Takes courage to come on a face the music like this. Glad you did.

I have no opinion or experience with your company- just to be transparent.

It's deffinetly a step above the rest. Alot of these other guys are your best buddy then they get your money and never return any of your calls.

To offer a warranty and stand behind what you are doing is a major leap forward.

Yeah Tristate, glad you made right with Jon and sorted out your misunderstanding... good move :tanguero:

Yep means alot! Even the most honest guy in the world selling used equipment will sooner or later encounter a unforseen mechanical problem. It's just the nature of the beast. Being fair about it is what will make all the difference in how the tree world will trust you.

Wow, I was considering buying a $30k chip truck and a $38k stump grinder. How could I after reading bad review after bad review? Out of state, site unseen, this is scary as it is with no feedback, but these are my biggest fears right in front of me!

Unfortunately it's very hard to find good quality used equiptment most are beat to death with a cheap paint job to make them all pretty. I've been there done that especially when your just starting off and funds are low. I strongly advise to be patient and be thorough when inspecting before purchase. Ask around this site you'll won't be pointed in any wrong direction.
