Today....

Ha, never seen that technique before! I don't know anything about palms, but seemed well controlled. Do they hinge and stay attached at the base for a while folding like that?

I just pulled it out of my rear…a little sketch. Too big of a tree or wrong angle I think it might tip the lift back? Maybe… 5,000lb ish tree 26,000 lb machine, but leverage.

They hinge better than the eucalyptus I’m used to but not as good as a green conifer. Huge gap face and high back cut so it wouldn’t slide back. I did two. The one on the left I didn’t video, it was tight between spigot and the outbuilding.

120' PSP took a handful of BigShot attempts. I was away from the collar with lots of backups and a Yates Screamer in my base-tie. I Wraptored up after bounce-testing and pruned of the conflicting branch that fought movement back toward the collar with ground manipulation of the rope.

Tuesday's 125' pull down. I used a leather cambium saver. Alternatively, I might get a new ring and ring for knot blocking... long pulls can take a lot of force.

That's an awfully nice branch at 120'. I can't see the top; how much was left?
