they not too worried about it?View attachment 93074Revisited that cedar on the house from last storm
Nice plan with the 2x climbing systems. I’m sure you evaluated the potential for the spar to stand back up. I’m curious with the sling placement in that photo, just how long was the piece you’re rigging? Were you standing them as they came off to limit movement over the roof or did they have enough chart to rake the rest off the stump?
We had a tiny landing zone and threading down between other trees so pieces had to come down somewhat vertical. Did the whole thing in 8’-10’ pieces.Nice plan with the 2x climbing systems. I hear ya on working around other trees and with the tight LZ. It seems that’s about all I can get these days. It’s less about smashing grass and more about NOT smashing in leaching fields or septic tanks. We had a tiny landing zone and threading down between other trees so pieces had to come down somewhat vertical. Didn’t worry about it standing back up, the root plate didn’t really lift in the back it sank in the front. Weird.
Weedwhacker damage?Fir topped and chunked down to just above the rub area with the oak.
Madrona with 3/4s of the base dead... now a stump.View attachment 93093View attachment 93094View attachment 93095
That's definitely the bread and butter these days around here.I hear ya on working around other trees and with the tight LZ. It seems that’s about all I can get these days. It’s less about smashing grass and more about NOT smashing in leaching fields or septic tanks.
Or mower-itis, leading to a phytophthera infection...my guess.Weedwhacker damage?
A Notch product?Swapped out a section of mooring chain at the jobsite today. Island owners have a haul-off, pretty much a reeve system for a skiff, which we had to adjust and found this!!! View attachment 93194View attachment 93195
