Today....

Looked at a 80-100' bear-trap doug- fir broken/ bend at 20', next to a building, laid up on a 150' fir's limbs, and a lower maple. I'll get to that in a week or two.

Need more hands on deck.

We took a whole maple tree in one crane pick yesterday. We were next door picking apart an oak tree in bad shape when the neighbor came over asking if he could hire us to take out this maple that has been giving them problems due to its location. Its brances were intertwined so we decided to pick it whole. It weighed 7100 lbs.

That saw clip broke on mine.

They specify the clip is for hanging the saw and the lanyard goes on the base of the handle. Don’t know who actually runs it that way. Did your saw take a big fall?

Yesterday we removed one of the largest locusts I’ve ever seen!
It was a fun one

Thanks for pointing that out. It's strange how they word it in the instructions, and show it in their videos. They show the lanyard on the black handle, but of course hang it from the saddle with the little wire loop. If its supposed to hang there, that piece should be strong enough to do so constantly, so I'm not clear why it wouldn't be suitable for the lanyard...

I think that metal clip was designed and shaped specifically to be able to take it in and out of a Transporter with one hand. Having a lanyard on it would negate that use. I think I saw that in one of the early videos on the 2500 before they were actually available

Yah, they show that usage in their videos of the saw which is a nice feature, just not how I personally hang my saws. But what that means, is that clip is/should be strong enough for the saw to hang on any time it is in use. If it's not strong enough to hold up, that is poor design. I'd imagine hanging directly on that clip, and using that clip to open and hang on the Transporter would put more stress on it than a lanyard does...

And attaching the lanyard to the handle would probably create a less than ideal angle of the dangle. I know it does with the 2511
