Finally got to organize the yard a bit better today. Also set the mill head in the wide mode and began sawing up some of the wider logs that have been waiting. Some of the Silver Maple slabs are a good bit over 50” wide. Grabbed a shot as I was driving out this afternoon.

Well I did some research and was told I could setup our lift on top of grave sites of sites with caskets but to take extra precautions if there were none.
So we put mats down and 36”x36”x1” pads on top because where we setup was sites dated back to 1870’s
Pretty cool first time we worked in a cemetery but all the headstones are so old and most already been repaired so we had to be very cautious

We get those. At least once a month someone calls the office at 2 AM on a Saturday morning, or 11 on a Friday night. Needless to say those calls are ignored until a more reasonable hour.

I can see a phone call at an off hour seeming ok to a client if they assume that the phone is not located in a residence and it won't be listened to until Monday morning, but a text to a personal phone at those hours is beyond the pale.

Cutting top off big tall girl. This cut was just about 90' high. Took out many white pines off this job but this was probably the biggest. Lot of nice logs.

Big dead American Elm. Dead 5 years according to my friend who lives a few lots down from this tree. About 38" BDH and about 80'+ tall, felled by the 066 with a 28" bar. Not my favorite to fell a long dead and unpredictable tree with a bar that requires cutting from both sides but it came off without a hitch.

You can set up with a bore cut to set your hinge and then release when ready with a less- than- bar- length cut.
