This is the Akimbo

Steve the funny part is the first 2 weeks or so that a I had one it never saw the field or even a rope. All it saw was wrenches, feeler gauges, and micrometers. Then one day it finally saw rope, 6 different ones actually. At the end of the day while the device worked great there was something I felt would help the user experience, at least for me. After doing some math and a quick sketch I made a custom part and retried all 6 ropes the next day. Those results along with the specs for the custom part were discussed and passed on to Jamie. I am now just finally getting some time to actually enjoy the Akimbo. I have it dialed in on a Yale 11.7, Tachyon, Prism, PMI 11mm Classic, Vortex, and a 1/2" 16 strand. The 1/2" ropes are tight and troublesome with the "current" version of the Akimbo. There are other tweaks that Jamie has gotten from others and himself that are really going to make this thing flawless.

Oh good, I know what you look like. What's your usual grocery store...and is the Akimbo usually hanging on your back belt loop out of sight? Or will this be trickier than that even?
Just pick up some 'local muscle'.

"Excuse me Mr. Monkeylove, you have something my employer wants to have. Don't make a fuss or we'll force you to foot lock up poison ivy vines all day in your tighty whities..."

Done and done! Great idea! I will have an Akimbo in about an hour and a half. I told them not to get too messy, but they might be incorporating a big shot to launch dead squirrels at him as he foot locks up the vines.

We definitely need to get a local climb together. I also need to get some more local resources. I had a look at some stuff the other day but after chatting with Pete (The Crane Man) it was determined his 60T's weren't the best choice. I don't know any local 100T+ cranes. Nearest pick would be 120-130 feet away from the crane. I think he said at that distance he could probably pick me, my saw and my wallet up.

...how do you not start laughing with some one walks up to you and says "Excuse me Mr. Monkeylove"?

Just looking at that username, I can't help but think Frank is inviting some misunderstandings... I mean, suppose some Zoo Director is needing some work done on their Monkey Island primate exhibit, and he needs an arborist. He shows up here, and happens to end up calling Frank....

"Hello? Mr. Monkeylove? This is Mr. Spanker down at the City Zoo, and we're revamping our Monkey Island exhibit so we can start a new breeding program. We were wondering if you could come down and give us some advice."

I forget what this thread is about... oh yeah the Akimbo! Look how far we have fallen. If I had an Akimbo I would be just like this:

But honestly I feel partly responsible for getting us off track and we should definitely open the mic for anybody who has an Akimbo and is willing to share their observations, feedback, review, experience, or pictures even???

Thanks Jamie for all your hard work and dedicated determination to make an awesome device.

There are a couple big guys with them but I don't think they are Grizzly Bear size. I know guys between you and me say it works great. I have all those devices along with the Uni/Drum combo.
