So you're saying when you tested you were pulling off of a biner on the eccentric pin? Wouldn't a rope distribute the load more and behave differently?

I think the answer is yes, rope distributes the load more. I imagine that test was more to determine the strength of the individual component (eccentric pin).

Thanks for making that vid Jim, and sweet pictures. One of the things that I'm working on at the moment is incorporating a mechanism to hold that bottom cam open when the akimbo is opened. That way you won't have to hold the cam like you've done in the vid. So many little details like that are what keep this project evolving. Just a few months ago I was convinced that it was as good as it could be, but every time I get feedback there presents another small improvement. I want this thing to be as good as it gets! Please someone tell me to stop adding features and just make the darn thing!
