Re: \"The view from my office.\"

Funny thing is no one would probably imagine New Jersey to look like this.
...
Mark, Looks nice, here in MI all I hear about Jersey is that it's full of cars, people, and dumps for NYC.

It's sad what certain dominance of media of influence can do: yes, the
t.v. types regularly disparage New Jersey, giving the impression that all
that's there is Perth Amboy & Hoboken & whatever other bit of NYC
suburb ... . And Camden is a derelict remnant of once the industrial
half of Philly.
But NJ isn't called the "Garden State" for nothing. Somewhere SSW of
Jackson is Hammonton, one of the names cartons of lovely plump
blueberries now in the store, Camden is/was home to Campbell's
Soups partly for the Jersey tomatoes, there is a full seaboard of
varied levels of habitation, with commercial & pleasure fishing.
Most of what some of call "South Jersey"--as though a state
removed--, is rural & farmland. Then there is the vast Pine Barrens.
Beyond my familiarity lies more mountainous/woodsy NW territory.
Cross the Del.Mem.Bridge, look the NJTrnpk in the face, then
turn off just before it, and find peaches, corn, 'loupes, speargrass
in spring, and not all so many cars (but for certain beach-bound
routes).
Mark's photo looks quite like S.Jersey, to me (though phragmites
is a problem plant).
