Chumming the waters?I couldn't agree more with DSMc concerning the material used on the original back pad and leg pads. Fucking perfect, so I sure hope he doesn't mess with that aspect on the new saddle.
Organizing gear on a rainy days and I just couldn't resist. 2 shiny new OG MCRS's!!

Know the area well. The good stuff starts south of Half Moon Bay near Tunitas Creek, down to just north of Santa Cruz. Some beautiful ground with some wonderful timber.
If I let go of all this hate inside me i'll crumble, Its all that keeps me standing. LOL
Wow a lot happens here when i'm gone. Sheesh 87 posts of a whole lot of expected stuff including @swingdude oh so carefully explained feelings on everything. It wouldn't be him if he didn't call everything he doesn't like-shit. Thats why we love him.
I appreciate the shout out @rico Honestly I dislike my TM for many reasons. Hurts my hips, straps slide in the buckles and just doesn't feel good on me. I don't ride the spar all day so I think I have the roundedness to evaluate it compared to other harnesses i've tried.
I have to say, the new saddle is so nice. It addresses so many things that could have been better with the first version. There are only 2 things I don't like about it. 1. I understand giving the end user the ability to string it up in any manner they choose. I, however, am not that guy. I'm not smart enough, or enough of a tinkerer to reinvent the wheel. I would most likely string it up exactly how the old ones were. I'll let a much more skilled person figure it out and then i'll steal their idea.
2. So i'm gonna say it. I'm really thinking the saddle looks like a weaver product. No matter how great it is, no matter how strongly I feel about supporting Matt after the last disaster.......
If it's weaver i'm not going to buy it. I like Matt. I love Richard and what he has tried to do for the entire industry through multiple videos, volunteering, financial support, innovative gadgets, and a general participation in the grand scheme of things. I am a strong willed person and I would rather ride a shitty saddle and be miserable than support Weaver. What they are doing is wrong on so many levels. I will not give them any of my money, under any circumstances. I feel the same about TS. I will never shop there, no matter what they have and how bad I need it. I just can't. If I let go of all this hate inside me i'll crumble, Its all that keeps me standing. LOL
I hope it's not a weaver product. I really really do, because I wan't it so bad, but if it is............can't do it.
PS..........I have 2 MCRS, size 1 and size 2. Guess who I got my second one from...........????
PSS When I replaced the rope on the saddle, I had it custom spliced because I couldn't give the money to TS/ST. Cost me more but I didn't support what I don't believe in.

My opinions is shit @rico. I can climb in the TM just fine but it's by far not my favorite ever. I just don't think it suits my hips well. I have to crank the ever loving shit out of the waist strap before I leave the ground, then again when I get in the tree, then again later and after just a little while my hips are killing me from pinching and whatnot. If I didn't do that, it would be riding like an adult diaper.
Thanks so much AJ. Your insight is super helpful. I’m actually planning on going a totally different direction on my future saddle. If the new MCRS isn’t Weaver I’ll likely get it. Mostly because I love the old school things about it. What I’m waiting for is the new camp class 3 harness that meets he standards for arb and industrial rope access. I wanna rock a class 3 for a while. I need to get some pressure off my hips and with my skinny self I think it’ll ride better.
