Span rigging

Yea tying ropes together for this technique is a hassle... I thought I saw @Mark Chisholm do a video on double whip tackle long ago. Pretty sure the one I’m thinking about was him. It was very informative
 
Topside friction can allow the same amount of rope to be used as conventional rigging, if the climber can take over/ control the friction from the get-go, with DWTs.

I self-lower AMAP, but never double-whip tackle except smaller pieces. As mentioned, you're load per leg goes way down (about half) so friction at the LD has to be majorly cut.

If you are using top-side friction, consider how much standing-end rope weight is pulling on the LD.
