slings for hanging pullys and blocks

I'm about to make up a new set of slings: woopies, loopies, one-eyes. We rarely see anything larger than 36" DBH - had only one near 48" this year. Too long is a PITA but not as much as TOO SHORT. Have you (or anyone) got any recommendations on lengths?

Hard for me to answer, since I splice.
If I find I'm gonna need a sling at a certain length, I'll just splice one up.
My most used eye sling is a 6' 9/16's DB. I have 2 of em.
After that, I have an 8' 9/16's, 8' & 12' 5/8's, 10', 15', 20' & 26' 3/4", 25' & 35' 7/8" and a 30' one inch, all DB.
I have another assortment of eye slings in hollow braid, and some loopies too.
I just threw out a 1" X 30' 'hollow' eye sling, cause it was over 10 years old. It looked older. Had some heavy loads dumped on it. I hadn't used it for probably 2 years, cause I didn't trust it any longer.

If I had to choose to have 2 eye slings, I would have a 9/16's X 6' and a 3/4" X 15'.
Everyone will have their own preference. It really depends on your set up.

you know brings up a good point. what should be the eye size of an everyday application sling like a 12-15 footer. i thought about getting my next sling made with a 12 inch eye.
