Imori and Arbpro.......

That Imori is really pretty rope... the green is not quite "pastel" but heading toward it, and almost has an iridescent sheen to it.

Hidden lock stitching all around. Have good lighting when splicing these; the dual colored strands make things confusing now and then haha.

Anybody got tips for splicing eye-to-eyes, particularly, getting the right amount of core for the 2nd eye? First attempt I ended up wasting because I had too much core and couldn't get all of it milked back in. On this one, I overcompensated, and ended up slightly shorter than my intended overall length.

I like to see someone else splicing their throw line. I splice all my throw lines and don't think I could go back to using unspliced throw line.

New guy dumb question here. What is the advantage for you of having a spliced eye in your throwline?

Thanks in advance for any answer you choose to give.

The splice eliminates the need for tying knots to attach your throw weights. This makes attaching and removing throw weights faster and more streamlined with no chance of your weight coming off the line if you use some type of slipped knot. It really comes down to preference but I love its speed and simplicity.

^^^ This. I used to tie a slipped anchor hitch in DynaGlide and after many on and offs it starts to wear out the line, I don't think it would break, just a lot of stress at the knot from repeated uses. So I went with a Bowline and would girth hitch to the ring. This has worked great so far, and I haven't had any problems with it. So the next evolution would be to splice a loop in the end which works great as well, and it's super easy.

That's insane, you actually hand stitched those eyes? You are definitely the Man. I really need to know how you actually did them. They look professionally sewn by a machine. What's your secret?

Tenex is one of the funnest and easiest ropes to work with. Did you use a sewing awl to stitch the E2E? Now that I've got Cherry Bomb down to a fine art, I'm going to be trying Yale Poison Ivy with a tight eye. I may need to start making some bedtime (put you to sleep) videos.

Thanks. If you go to documenting my hand sewn eye process under the splice rack. I just followed moss and what he did. They turn out really strong also there's some of my other splices on that discussion
