on paper , yes, but i know a lot of guys that use this splice for the 8 mm.
I think you can modify the splice to add in an extra long bury to make up for the slipperiness of the core but thats something a splicing guru should come along and clear up.

I girth a biner for the 2 in 1 on it. Also if I mess up the snap end I can cut it off and girth it back on the other end and keep using it.

2.5 hours. The second one (the tighter one) went right home in about 30 min. No joke.

They look great but what are all those left over strands on the floor lol. I think you need to keep splicing until they're all gone.

Friction saver. Got a little lazy on one leg of the 8mm core taper, not as smooth as the other. And I scratched my new pulley pulling the first eye home with a steel carabiner. Got to find some candy apple red paint!
