Scamerman above looks good - re SCAM, has anyone maybe ever looked at rope wear on the static leg just below the knot caused by the moving rope on the bottom pulley. If you bomb down on the 3:1? Some times when I've tried it say with a rounder top petzl pulley biner, the down leg kinda forces the biner sideways and the stationary rope is kinda near the moving rope on the pulley. Or is it the single malt again?

My normal way of rigging this up with a ring rather than "SCAM" knot (why it's sideways I do not know . . .):

How does that biner/ ring act when cyclical loaded and unloaded?
Never had it move around - with small ring the rope needed to be really pinched to get it through the ring and it stays tight. If ring is too large it will move around or even slip. Rope diameter and to some extent it's hand I guess make it work. I don't use this with 11's for example. Ring thing is not retrievable tho.
