Still like the placement. Don't need to weight the rope for the first few steps even. Just feeds. Beautiful thing.
This is why we are so different as people and climbers.....I did not like my Coker setup with the distels....rope too close to the gaff and way too bulky and clunky...hated how the CT locked in...now that I have the KK's that is so much better and well though out...the rope stays safe away from the rope no kickout on ascent, very ergonomic...light and streamlined...plus the stirrups are so comfy and super light....I could go on and on....

I am still liking this orientation a lot. Haven't come any closer to gadding my line than I normally would. And I haven't effed it up by jamming my foot in tight spaces yet. Working great. Thanks again mike.

Awesome Mac. Glad it's working out for you. I'll be testing out that orientation as well, but I'm digging it towards the heel as of now.
If I remember correctly, I used 2024 aluminum for your particular set up. Should be very tough. Chances are these things will be available on the inter-webs this year

I love a foot ascender but don't like the new Pantin as much as the old one.
I got a CT last week and it is better than the new Pantin in every way.
Plus, the cam lock thingy is much easier to use than I expected.
